CBN Introduction of Five Thousand (5,000) Naira note with picture

Its no more news that the central bank Of Nigeria is introducing the Five Thousand Naira (5,000)note next year
The CBN had on Thursday announced a comprehensive review of the country’s currency. It introduced N5,000 note as the highest denomination and  N5, N10 and N20 notes to coins.
According to the CBN Governor Sanusi Lamido he said the introduction N5,000 will strengthen the cashless policy.


The Director, Corporate Communications Affairs of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Ugochukwu Okoroafor has affirmed that the apex bank’s decision to introduce the N5,000 note is to strengthen the cashless policy of the bank.
The project is expected to gulp 40.3 Billion Naira. We hope this is not another White Elephant project.
